Garden Rules
Question Garden is a place for genuine reflection, not performance or promotion. We ask everyone to share answers with care, honesty, and respect. This page easily explains what that means in practice, and how we decide which answers are right for our community.
What to Share
We welcome answers that feel personal, thoughtful, and on topic. There is no recipe for a "good answer". An answer could, for example, include one or more of the following:
- Tell a real story from your life;
- Share an honest feeling you have about the question;
- Offer a small insight you have from lived experience.
In general, our human moderators approve answers to be shared with the garden that are sincere and specific. They (and fellow readers) do not expect everyone to share deep or profound answers. It is perfectly fine if your answer is short, simple, or even just a few words.
What Not to Share
All answers are reviewed by human moderators. We immediately reject answers that:
- Contains hate speech or harassment;
- Promotes discrimination or bigotry;
- Has explicit sexual content or graphic violence;
- Discloses personal data about other people;
- Provides unsafe medical or legal advice;
- Promotes self-harm or harm to others;
- Are spam;
- Are clearly copied or generated by AI;
- Are not written in English.
When an Answer Is Rejected
If we reject your answer, you'll get an email from us. If you think we got it wrong, you can reply once telling us why: we'll read it and respond. After that, the moderation decision is final.
Rejections are not a judgment of you as a person. It simply means the answer is not right for this community at this time. You are always welcome to share a new answer again with a more personal, clearer, or respectful response.
