August 2026
Sunday, 30th
- Newsletters now show the date they were sent
- The newsletter link in the registration form now only points to editions that have already been sent
- The account page now also shows a link to the latest newsletter edition next to the newsletter subscription checkbox
Monday, 24th
- Updated the about page to reflect the garden being live and its first members
- The newsletter signup in the registration form now links to the latest edition so you can read it before subscribing
- Fixed a bug where the sidebar icons didn't update immediately after logging out
Sunday, 23rd
- September questions are now in the garden, ready from the 1st
- Monthly reminder emails will use September colours starting in September
- Recurring donors now receive an email each time their donation is charged
Sunday, 16th
- The August 2026 newsletter is now live and was sent to all subscribers
- Fixed a bug where the 'Read from the garden' button disappeared when you had no sprouts left — it now stays visible but disabled
- Fixed a bug where the daily sprouts reset did not always apply correctly across all counters on the first action of a new day
- Fixed a display issue where the published and last-updated dates appeared too large on the Changelog page

Thursday, 30th
- The support progress bar now correctly counts payments from recurring subscriptions
- Monthly reminder emails now cover the full month, grouped by week, with a colour for each day
- Email logos no longer appear oversized in some email clients or on mobile
Tuesday, 28th
- Question reminder emails now render correctly in Gmail and other email clients
- Weekly reminder emails now display properly on smaller screens
- Fixed a bug where the password show/hide button jumped when clicked in the registration form
- Typing fewer than 8 characters in the password field now shows an inline error message
- Added a 404 page for when you land on a link that no longer exists
Sunday, 26th
- Question reminder emails now match your chosen frequency. Daily, weekly, and monthly reminders each use a separate list so only users with that preference are included
- The support progress bar now shows the real total of confirmed donations
- Support milestones now highlight and show a checkmark when reached
- Dates on all pages now display with ordinal suffixes (1st, 2nd, 3rd...)
- Going to your account page without being logged in now takes you to login and brings you back to your account after
Saturday, 25th
- Fixed a bug where completing a payment didn't take you to the confirmation page
- Recurring donations are now available. You can choose monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual plans
- Moderation, report, and welcome emails now each come from a dedicated address
- Fixed a bug where resubmitting an answer after rejection prevented the new submission from being approved
- The site tagline is now 'A quiet place to connect with yourself and others'
- Shared links now show the Question Garden preview image when posted to social media
- Fixed a bug where sprouts earned by sharing carried over to the next day. Sprouts now reset to zero each morning
- Rejecting a shared answer no longer reduces your sprouts balance
- Deleting your account now correctly unsubscribes you from email reminders and the newsletter
- The logo now appears correctly in all emails
- Question reminder and other emails now scale correctly on mobile screens
- Email sign-off updated to Question Garden
Thursday, 23rd
- Daily and weekly question reminder emails now use the Question Garden visual style, with the weekly email matching the all questions page calendar layout
- Cancelling a recurring donation now takes effect immediately. Your account shows the cancellation date and a confirmation email is sent
- Visiting a past question date that has no question now shows a friendly message instead of an empty answer form
- All member-facing emails now use the Question Garden visual style with fonts, colours, and a plain text fallback
- Daily question reminders are now sent by email. Registering with a reminder frequency set will add you to the mailing list automatically
- Newsletter subscription is now wired end-to-end: registering with it enabled, updating it from the account page, or deleting your account all sync correctly with the mailing list
- The header and footer logos now scale proportionally on small screens
Wednesday, 22nd
- Reporting an answer now works end-to-end: the moderator receives an email with the report details and can dismiss it or remove the answer
- When a reported answer is removed, the author receives an email and can rewrite their answer; the reporter receives a confirmation that the answer was taken down
- Reported answers are no longer visible in anyone's reading history once removed
Tuesday, 21st
- Account page: you can now update your question reminder frequency and newsletter subscription at any time
- When a shared answer is not accepted, you now receive an email explaining why and a link to try again
- Fixed several home page issues: your activity list no longer reorders while you are editing, the Random Question button reappears after clearing a saved answer, and returning to Today's Question after clearing no longer switches away unexpectedly
Monday, 20th
- Donations page: added a progress bar showing how close we are to our yearly funding goal
- All questions page: redesigned as a scrollable calendar. Each question shows as a row with date, day name, and your status badges, colour-coded by month
Saturday, 18th
- Answers now preserve line breaks when shared with or read by other members
- A character counter appears in the answer box when fewer than 200 characters remain
- Scrollbars now appear on the sidebar and navigation menus when using a mouse

- Account page: improved layout of the donations history list
Thursday, 16th
- Account page: the 'Manage subscription' button now stays in a loading state until the portal opens
- Account page: subscription management errors now appear on the page
- Account page: a 'Donate again' button now appears for members with a past donation but no active subscription

- Account page: active subscriptions now show the date they started

- Account page: logged-in supporters can now manage their subscription directly from their account
- Account page: donation history is now visible, including amounts, dates, and status
Monday, 13th
- A thank-you email is now sent after every successful donation, personalised for one-time and recurring donors
- Donation confirmation page now shows a personalised summary of your donation
- Improved the donation cancelled page with clearer copy and a 'Try again' option
- Fixed the 'Back' button on the donation review page after returning from the payment screen

- The full donation flow now works end-to-end: select an amount, review, pay, and receive confirmation
- Subscriptions are now supported alongside one-time donations
- Returning to the donation review page after navigating away no longer creates duplicate entries

- Donations are now processed securely through Stripe
- Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual subscription options are now available
- Donation amounts of €1, €3, €5, €10, €25, and €50 are now available
Tuesday, 7th
- Home page: random questions from the garden can now be suggested when you have answered today's question
- Home page: the 'Today's Question' button is now disabled once you have reached your daily limit
- Fixed: editing or deleting an answer now correctly removes it from your reading history

- All questions page: improved the filter experience

- Filters can be removed individually with an animated dismiss button
